Clinical Leadership

Medical Director: Shaya Mokfi, M.D.
Dr. Mokfi joined the practice at Internal Medicine Associates in 1997. He is a graduate of Chicago Medical School, completed his residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Mokfi was the first President of the Our Lady of Peace Hospital Medical Staff from September, 2000 to December 31, 2002. Currently, Dr. Mokfi is chair of the Medicine Department at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center-South Bend.


Vice President of Patient Care Services: Jane Mason, RN, BSN, MSN
Jane brings over 30 years of nursing experience to Our Lady of Peace. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Catherine Spaulding College in Louisville, KY and her MSN is from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.

Case Manager: Teresa Cramer, RN, BSN
Teresa is a case manager at Our Lady of Peace Hospital. She graduated from nursing school 1988 and obtained her BSN in 1998. Teresa started at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center as a post surgical nurse and continued for years in the post surgical and orthopedic areas. Teresa worked as an acute case manager for a year at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center – South Bend and transferred to Our Lady of Peace as a case manager when the hospital opened. She is certified in case management and medical-surgical nursing.

Case Manager - Janet Kowalewski, RN
Janet is an RN with certifications in case management and gerontology. She has a critical care background having worked 8 years in ICU and 5 years in Radiology. Before Janet worked in critical care, she spent nine years working with renal patients. Janet has been a case manager at Our Lady of Peace Hospital since 2001.
