About Our Lady of Peace
(continued)
The staffing pattern is planned to allow comprehensive care for complex patients
in a ratio that ranges from 1:4 in medical surgical and 1:2 in the high observation
area. Additionally, members of the inter-disciplinary team, i.e., case managers,
dieticians, therapists, chaplains, and pharmacist are actively involved with the
patient on a day-to-day basis.
The patient types include a broad range of disease conditions including pulmonary,
cardiac, renal, oncology, post operative, ventilator, and wound management.
While Our Lady Of Peace often is considered a "treatment" hospital,
a complete range of diagnostic and interventional services are available as the
patient condition requires it.
Our Lady of Peace Hospital is able to make financial arrangements with third-party
payors based on a percent of charges or per diem rates with four carve outs -
specialty beds, dialysis, chemotherapy and TPN.
Our Lady of Peace is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Our last survey was done in 2002 (the survey’s
occur every three years) and we received a score of 98 with no Type One recommendations.
We receive the highest score from JCAHO of the 41 hospitals within Trinity
Health (our parent corporation).
